This is the essence of the ideas that emerged from an impromptu brain–storming session held on Gyan Vigyan Prakashan is conceived as a semi autonomous commercially viable venture to be jointly owned by PSM organizations from the  Hindi speaking areas to begin with. Other language publication units that exist in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Orissa, Bengal, Assam and Punjab will join it later on. The membership consists of PSM organizations in Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal, UP, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Bihar, MP and Chhattisgarh.

Gyan Vigyan Prakashan is fully professional and it publishes and arranges to sell books of various levels, for various categories of readers for various objectives all in consonance with the objectives of PSM. Presently the Hindi market is flooded with literature in consonance with the ideology of capitalist globalization, of competitive consumption, of individualism and anti-humanism, leading the society to increasing tensions and environmental damages.

Gyan Vigyan Prakashan too strives to flood the market of Hindi reading public, with a large number of targeted and purposeful publications.
