100 year of International Women’s Day |

The theme declared by United Nations for 2010 International Women Day is Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities: Progress for all.
As it is the 100th year of celebrations of 8th March as International Women’s day so we have to reflect on the kind of rights opportunities women have had, the participation of women in development within this period.
The programme will be conducted all round the year and a grand culmination at Jhansi on 8th March 2011.The programme will constitute dialogues, studies, Samata Vigyan Utsav, Games, Kalajatha
- Dialogues will be conducted up to village level on following issues
- Women and Science and Technology
- Women and Health
- Women and Education
- Women and Environment
- Women and Violence
- Women and Livelihood
- SHG Micro finance and Micro Credit.
Publish booklets on all these issues.
- Studies to be conducted.
In selected villages studies will conducted on status of women before independence, after independence and in the last 10 years.
- Samata Vigyan Utsav and Games.( Corners will be designed later)
- Kalajatha focusing on Equal Rights for women with culmination in Jhansi.
- Dialogues with women Scientist and scholars, to understand their lives and problems. Publication of books of well known and less known Scientists
- Training one thousand two hundred women in jobs traditionally have done by men exclusively, like coconut tree climbing, auto repair, all women machine shops etc.
- A core group was formed with the following members for One year campaign on 100th Years of International Women’s Day.
